  • Placing an order
    • How do I place my order?
      1. Make your Selection:
        Ordering from Asian Flora is easy! Simply browse our selection of flowers and gifts either via the homepage of our website or any occasion categories.
      2. Purchasing:
        Once you have made your selection, select which size you wish to order and add any special extras (like a balloon or teddy) to your shopping cart. Then proceed to the checkout.
      3. Processing Your Payment:
        Follow the steps to complete the 'Secure Order Form', ensuring that you complete the * required fields. If you need to make any changes you can click on your 'back' button and edit your order before final submission. After reviewing your order and checking that everything is correct, click the 'submit' button to send your order to Asian Flora for processing and delivery.

    • Can I order by phone rather than through the website?

    • Can I have gourmet food or other gift items sent with my order?
      • Yes. Asian Flora has several products that include a gourmet food or other gift items. We will make every effort to complete the order as requested.Please contact us and our experienced representatives will work with you to make sure that we capture your specific needs.     • I want to order flowers for a funeral, what information do you need?
      • For funerals of cremations it is very important that the flowers are delivered at the correct address at the correct time. Please give us as much as information as you can about the funeral center, the name of the deceased and the correct date and time of the funeral etc. During ordering you can fill in these special remarks in the field "special remarks" .

  • Messages
    • Will I be able to send a message with my order
      • Yes, you can choose to select a message from our heartfelt message library, or write your own personal message to the recipient. It’s up to you

    • Is it possible to send a longer message than the limit you have provided?
      • Yes, this is possible, but will require the purchase of a larger, full-size greeting card for $.............. Please write, “Message to be emailed” in the message field at checkout and contact us with your message by email.

    • Can I add special delivery instructions?
      • Yes. Below the delivery date field, there is a text box to enter your special instructions. The delivery crew will read them and try their best to follow your instructions.

  • Payments, confirmations and invoices
    • What methods of payment do you accept?
      • Asian Flora is happy to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express credit and debit cards. (dialog Ezi pay, mobiteletcetc ????? need to fill this out…what about any other international cards…diners etc

    • Can I pay for my order on arrival?
      • Unfortunately we can’t accept payment on delivery.

    • How can I get a copy of my order receipt?
      • Once you have successfully submitted your order, a receipt for your purchase will appear in your browser window. If you need a copy for your records, you can always print this receipt as soon as it appears, or print the second copy that our system automatically sends to the email address provided by you when you placed the order. If you place your order online, you can print a receipt after you complete the transaction. If you would like a receipt for an order placed by phone, simply ask us and we will be happy to provide you with one.

    • Will any of my billing information be displayed on the delivered item
      • No. The only identifying marking displayed on the item will be your name and card message.

    • I haven’t received my order confirmation, what should I do?
      • If you haven’t received an email confirming your order, it is possible that your confirmation may have found it’s way into your junk mail. (To prevent this from happening simply add to your address book.) If the email confirmation is not in your junk mail, or if you received a confirmation that does not match the order you placed, please contact us and we’ll get it cleared up.

    • What do I do if my credit card is declined?
      • In the unlikely event that your credit card is not able to be charged, you will be notified by Asian Flora (usually via the e-mail address you have supplied to Asian Flora). You will then need to contact your financial institution for further assistance and/or contact Asian Flora to provide a different form of payment. Please Note: That your order will not be processed until your credit card is able to be charged the full amount of your order. Your order will be placed on hold until further notice by Asian Flora.

  • Delivery
    • What happens if the recipient of my gift is not there to receive the order I placed?
      • We assess each delivery situation on an individual basis. If the delivery location looks safe with a protected area to keep the bouquet shaded and away from the elements, we will leave it there and follow up with a phone call to the recipient. If we are unable to leave it at the residence, our next step is to try to leave it at the address provided.If the courier deems the location to be a "safe" location the item will be left at the address provided. In these cases, delivery will be deemed to have been made successfully. If you do not want the order left at the address please ensure this information has been provided in the special instructions field on the order form.

        If both these options are unavailable we then leave a tag on the recipient’s door letting them know we were by with a special delivery. We ask that they call us to arrange a new delivery or they may come to our shop and pick up their bouquet.

        It is recommended that a contact phone number for the recipient be provided on the order form so that should the courier have difficulty locating the address or is having difficulties accessing a building, the courier can contact the recipient to check if they are at the location before they attempt to deliver the gift. If you do not wish the recipient to be contacted you need to provide alternative contact details. If a phone number has not been provided on the order form and the recipient is either not at the location when the delivery is made or the courier has difficulty locating the delivery address completely they may do one of the following:


    • How will I know if my flowers or gifts have been delivered?
      • We can provide confirmation of delivery for every gift or flower arrangement that we send. If you have not heard from the recipient on the day of delivery, simply contact us at …………….. or through email so we can personally confirm delivery of your order. Please refer to our Delivery Information page for more details about specific delivery situations.

    • Where are my flowers? They should have been delivered today.
      • Contact us and find out. If there is any problem we will fix it and have your flowers delivered as soon as possible.

    • Can I add special delivery instructions?
      • Yes. Below the delivery date field, there is a text box to enter your special instructions. The delivery crew will read them and try their best to follow your instructions.

    • Is it possible to send an order anonymously?
      • Yes, you can send an order anonymously, as well as including any message that you wish to be printed and sent with your gift. Please be advised however, that if requested by the recipient, we will provide the sender’s name. This is common industry practice, because we find that upon delivery, recipients are always keen to know who it was that sent them such a lovely gift. To that end, we advise against sending anonymous gifts, so that the recipients do not become distressed unnecessarily.

    • Do you deliver on Sundays and holidays?
      • Absolutely, If delivery is unavailable for any unforeseen reason, we will contact you to let you know that the order will be delivered the day before or day after depending on when it is placed with us. If it is critical that your order be delivered on Sunday, then please contact us at …………………….. to inquire about the delivery options.

    • Can I request a specific time for the delivery of my arrangement?
      • When ordering online, you may use the "Special Instructions" box on the order form to request a particular time for your delivery. We will do our best to honor your request; however, this may result in an additional charge for your special delivery. We do not generally make timed deliveries to a home address as we try to keep those times as open as we can so as to be able to service a wide variety of delivery areas. If we are unable to meet your time requirements, we will contact you as quickly as possible to come up with an alternate solution. When speaking to your sales consultant on the phone, please let us know if there is a specific time you would like to have your gift delivered and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

        When placing a sympathy order, it is our standard practice to confirm with the funeral home what time the viewing begins and will do our best to make sure that your gift is delivered in the timeliest manner possible.

        We ask for your understanding when placing your orders during the busy holiday season with regard to timed deliveries. We try to keep our times more open due to the higher than normal volume of orders we receive so as to serve all of our customers in a timely fashion.


    • Can I send flowers purchased on the same invoice to two different recipients?
      • Sorry, but we are unable to accommodate this request.

    • I want to send more than one bouquet, do I have to pay extra delivery fee?
      • You pay one delivery fee per address, regardless the number of bouquets ordered. For big numbers of bouquets you can contact the customer service.

    • Do you deliver flowers in a vase?
      • Yes, we deliver the bouquets with vases.

  • Weddings
    • Does Asian Flora do weddings?
      • Asian Flora can provide you with the freshest wedding flowers to appropriately accent that very special day. Weddings are always done as custom orders. Please contact us for more information.

    • How much do your wedding flowers cost?
      • Asian Flora will always endeavour to work within your wedding budget for the designs you have in mind.

    • How far in advance should I book my wedding florist?
      • It’s a good idea to book your wedding florist as soon as you can, to ensure your preferred supplier is available for your wedding day. At Asian Flora, we are happy to take bookings at anytime.

    • How do I secure my booking with Asian Flora Flowers?
      • The final payment for your wedding flowers is due one month prior to the big day

    • I don’t know much about flowers, but want to make sure the bouquets match the theme of our wedding, how do I do this?
      • We’re more than happy to arrange a time to meet & talk about the different flowers that will be available for your bouquets on your wedding day. There are so many options & styles, we’ll be sure to find the perfect flowers for your special day. Please send an email or call to arrange a time.

    • Is there a minimum amount I need to spend on my wedding flowers?
      • At Asian Flora, there is no minimum spend for the flowers for your wedding day, however we find that most of our couples allocate at least …………… towards their bouquets and venue styling/decorations.

    • Can you deliver on our wedding flowers on the day?
      • If you require your bouquets to be delivered on your wedding day, this can be arranged for a fee, determined by the distance.

    • How do I get in contact with Asian Flora?

    • The flowers I wanted for my bouquets are not in season for my wedding. What should I do?
      • Absolutely, we are happy to provide a detailed quote via email. With all the stunning flowers that are available, we will find you the closest possible alternative, taking into considering the style and colour of your original preference.

    • Do you do flowers for wedding receptions or ceremonies?
      • We specialize in small-scale weddings supplying bridal bouquets, bridesmaids flowers and personal accessories like flower crowns, buttonholes and corsages.
        We will provide you with exceptional floral design for ceremony flowers and reception design.

    • How do I go about getting a quote?
      • Our price list is available online. You can also download our latest wedding flower packages. We provide these to you directly to help your plan your wedding as early as you like.
        Once you have a clear list of your requirements for your wedding flowers, you can email us or call us to book a consultation.
        We know visiting us in person is a challenge with everything you have on the go, we are more than happy to coordinate a quote via email or over the phone.

    • Why are wedding flowers so expensive?
      • We florists spend hours planning and preparing for your wedding. The process begins many weeks before your wedding day, when we sit down and plan out our recipes for your bouquets, arrangements and feature installations. Because we are also at the mercy of Mother Nature we always need to plan for a Plan B, just incase our preferred florals are not available the week of your wedding. Even on the day there is a lot that goes on ‘behind the scenes’ in terms of managing the logistics of your wedding flowers including packaging and packing each of your beautifully hand-crafted items.

    • How much should I budget for wedding flowers?
      • Traditionally wedding florals account for approximately 10% of your total wedding budget. We do not have a minimum investment and we are more than happy to work with you to simply provide a stunning bouquet for the day or to work through a complete service packaging, including large foliage installations and floral features.

    • When should I contact you to discuss the flowers for my wedding?
      • It depends on your wedding date. Four to six months prior to your wedding date is most common. However, we are able to help plan an event with much tighter timelines as well. But as a rule of thumb we will say as early as possible to avoid the rush. For the busiest times of year (May/June and October/November) the earlier you contact us the better.

        We work on a first come first serve basis and bookings are confirmed once a 25% non-refundable deposit has been received


      • How far in advance should I book my wedding florist?
        • It’s a good idea to book your wedding florist as soon as you can, to ensure your preferred supplier is available for your wedding day. At Asian Flora, we are happy to take bookings at anytime.

      • What information do I need to provide to help you create a quote?
        • Wedding flowers are an incredibly personal thing and as such we do ask quite a few questions to get the ball rolling. There are some very functional questions we will most certainly ask at our initial consultation:
          • Wedding location, date, & time
          • How many bridesmaids and groomsmen are there?
          • Do you want any additional buttonholes or corsages for the fathers / mothers or other members of the family?
          • Do you need any flowers for your hair?
          • Where are you and the groom getting dressed?

      • I have a photo of an arrangement I like can I bring it
        • In terms of floral styling, photo references are often the best option. We know part of the joy of planning your wedding is being able to spend hours searching the worlds of Pinterest and Instagram. So please do bring along any photo references you have of the type of flowers you love.
          To get the best result from us, the less prescriptive you are, the better the end product will be. Remember that are working with Mother Nature and she has a plan all her own. It’s best to leave the final design and floral choice to us and we can work our magic once we have a general sense of your style and your colour palette. We promise you won’t be disappointed!


  • Changes, cancellations and refunds

      • Contact us immediately, and we will fix it.

    • The bouquet I received was not what I ordered, what are you going to do
      • Contact us and we will make sure to clear up any misunderstanding. In the event that we made a mistake, we will be happy to replace the product or find another solution to make it right.

    • How do I make my flowers last longer?
      • The best way to keep your flowers fresh is first to always keep the water level of the container as full as possible. Flowers not only take up water through the end of the stem, but also through the sides of the stems themselves. Keep your bouquet in a cool location in your home, away from direct sunlight or electronics and appliances that give off heat. With each bouquet we include a complimentary care tag and a packet of floral preservative. Simply follow the directions on the back of the packet to help extend the life of your flowers.

    • Where do your flowers come from?
      • We order our flowers straight from the growers. They come from all over the country, but the bulk of our flowers come from Kurunegala, Nuwara Eliya and Bandarawela. Our design style is dictated by the season, as we let nature take the lead. Because we design our arrangements based on seasonal availability, you are buying flowers at their very best! Local flowers have traveled at most a few hundred kilometers to get here, as opposed to several thousand. Locally-grown flowers are hyper fresh and can usually be enjoyed by our customers for weeks instead of days. Buying local supports local growers, the agricultural community and economy. It also encourages sustainable growing practices. Choosing local reduces the environmental impact of buying cut flowers, by limiting transportation emissions and removing the need to use harsh chemicals and pesticides typically used to keep flowers alive during their long journeys

    • Why does the price of flowers go up during holidays?”
      • Like other agriculture markets, the prices of products are largely dictated by supply and demand. For example, for Valentine’s Day, on average, more roses are sold nationwide. The demand contributes to the proportionate cost of flowers during Valentine’s and other major floral holidays.

    • Why don't you have a retail store?
      • Our goal is to deliver the freshest, most beautiful local floral arrangements at a fair price. In order to do that, we have to flip the traditional business model on its head. Asian Flora is all about efficiency and cutting down on waste. Not having walk-in customers allows us to focus on fulfilling orders, and because we can easily monitor all of our upcoming orders online, we don’t have to over-stock our cooler.

    • Where can I pick up flowers that i have ordered

    • Will the arrangement I order look exactly as the online picture?
      • There are times when it becomes necessary to substitute flowers in arrangements due to a lack of supplied availability. We do strive to maintain the value and integrity of every arrangement ordered, with particular attention paid to colour scheme and premium flower components.     • Can I see a picture of the arrangement I sent?
